How It Works?
1.How does PEACH Foundation select student beneficiaries? Locally selected teachers will nominate students who meet specific standards of scholastic achievement and poverty level. Nominated students then undergo a stringent review process, and only the most qualified students will be selected to receive aid.
2.What is the review process? Through annual site visits, we obtain first-hand information about students in their school and family life. We interview financial aid recipients face-to-face so that there is mutual exchange of compassion. More importantly, we visit the sites directly in order to prevent the corrupt practice of “under-the-table” deals, where teachers might recommend students who are not actually financially qualified to receive aid from PEACH out of favoritism. Our goal is to have 100% confidence that all our student beneficiaries are truly qualified.
3. How are financial aid disbursed? Once a nominated student is approved to receive a financial aid, our staff stationed in China will directly mail the aid to the recipient. There is no third party involved. 4. How does PEACH Foundation ensure that monies given by donors appropriately reach recipient students? We encourage donors to write letters directly to students to verify the amount they received. To help with this process, PEACH Foundation provides two stamps for each student so that they will have the means to reply.
