Poverty not only deprives children of opportunity to go to school, but it also affects their psychological health. In addition to assisting children’s tuition needs, we are also devoted to support their psychological needs. Since July 2004, PEACH Foundation has sponsored annual Summer Camps where we offer courses like Mandarin (PuTongHua), English, Happy Life, Music, Question and Answer, Movie and Games. Through these courses, we hope to improve our children’s self-esteem, self-respect and confidence.
Summer camp English teacher positions are open to PEACH donors or their children only. You may become a donor today to be qualified.

Highlights from the past camps:
•From July 6th to July 31st, 2009, PEACH sponsored three summer camp sessions in YanYuan County of SiChuan Province and in YuLong County of Yunnan Province. More than 60 volunteer teachers participated while paying for their own expenses, they served more than 600 children in these camps
• From June 23rd to July 28th, 2008, PEACH sponsored three sessions of summer camp in YanYuan, YuanYang and YuLong, where 65 volunteer teachers participated at their own expense. 660 PEACH students attended the programs.
• From July 4th to July 25th, 2007, PEACH sponsored two sessions of summer camp in YuanYang and YuLong, where 45 volunteer teachers participated at their own expense. 543 PEACH students attended the programs.
• From July 4th to July 31st, 2006, PEACH sponsored three sessions of summer camp in YuanYang and YangBi, where 63 volunteer teachers participated at their own expense. 755 PEACH students attended the programs.
• In July 2005, PEACH sponsored three sessions of summer camp for PEACH children in YuanYang, LvChun and YanYuan, where 27 volunteer teachers participated at their own expense. 333 PEACH students attended the programs.
• In December 2004, PEACH sponsored a winter camp for its students in YuanYang, where 3 volunteers took the trip at their own expense.
• In July 2004, PEACH sponsored one session of English Summer Camp for 120 PEACH recipients in YuanYang County, where 9 volunteer instructors participated at their own expense.

PEACH also sponsored these following programs to offer diversified educational opportunities:
• From January 21st to February 10th, 2006, teacher Yeh, a volunteer, went to YanYuan to give remediation lessons for 40 high school students. Those students also had an unforgettable Spring Festival with her.
• In August 2005, PEACH sponsored a Love Journey from YuanYang to Kunming for 19 orphans.
• In April 2004, the voluntary Inspection Team held a chorus competition in YuanYang County, where 12 different grades and more than 600 students participated.
• In the summer of 2002, volunteers sponsored Mandarin and English recital contests in four PEACH-sponsored schools. More than 400 children participated.
