PEACH Foundation focuses its effort mainly on the most rural and destitute areas in China. The economic conditions in these areas are well below the average poverty level, and the schools have problems attracting and retaining qualified teachers. We hope to improve these teachers’ abilities by attracting qualified volunteers to conduct short-term teaching seminars.

Accomplishments:
• From July 24th to 31st, 2006, PEACH Foundation held teacher training courses for 20 teachers from YangBi and YuLong
• From July 6th to 21st, 2006, PEACH Foundation held teacher-training courses for 30 teachers from YuanYang and LvChun.
• From July 13th to 20th, 2005, PEACH Foundation, in collaboration with the Yins Foundation, held teacher-training courses for 150 teachers in YuanYang.
• In the summer of 2004, volunteers sponsored a Music Training Class for teachers in TaiAn Middle School, which was presided by a highly qualified musical teacher.
• In July 2004, PEACH Foundation, in collaboration with the Yins Foundation, held teacher-training courses for 150 teachers in YanYuan, Sichuan.
• In May 2004, with financial assistance from PEACH Foundation, 10 teachers and principals from PEACH-targeted schools attended a three-week teacher-training seminar in Shanghai, which was organized by the Yins Foundation.
