Ly Hsing: I was pleasantly surprised by the discipline, the efficiency, and
the hardworking of the Peach staff in Kunming. The passion and confidence the
staff demonstrated toward their work really impressed me. I appreciate all the arrangement
before and during this Volunteer Understanding Trip. Thank you, Peach
staff. I realize how hard you
worked, and I hope you never give up, just like our Peach children. The Peach
children need our support, and they need your help too. Let’s work together
to help them.
We visited numerous families and had
better understanding of these children’s background during this trip. I am
deeply touched by what I saw. When I was growing up, I lived many years in a
temple, where many people came and pray for their families and often hoping
that Buddha could offer a helping hand. I learned a lot of about people’s
inner thoughts and effect of poverty through these prayers. Many of my
playmates then were children from poor farmers
families, so, “poverty” was nothing usually to most of us. The problem was these children and
their parents do not have the capacity to think and plan for a better future.
In conclusion, we need to work hard and
make sure our Peach children have the positive goal in life – and get well
educated. Let’s help them to help themselves.

Chen and Nei Chen: Thank you very much for the
Understanding Tour in Li Jiang. This trip was carefully planned and
thoughtfully followed through with every detail confirmed and reconfirmed.
Nei and I were extremely happy and surprised to find out what Peach
Foundation is all about.
We enjoyed meeting the students, the teacher and their parents (or parent).
We enjoyed visiting the school and their homes.
We enjoyed the five days living, eating and talking with Peach Foundation
staff, old member and new volunteers from US, China, and Taiwan.
Now, when I open Peacher (培志人), I can truly say that I understand
every word they are saying, because I was there, I saw and talked to the kids
too.
Sonia, I can see your passion and pride in helping the students and I want to
thank you again for a job well done.
