Kevin
Yu: The Peach
foundation creates a mutually enriching experience for both young
underprivileged teenagers from rural China as well as over privileged Chinese
Americans. The success in the volunteer experience is reflected in the high
return rate for volunteers as well as a long list of success stories from
students who have been able to achieve economic mobility. There are two parts
to the aid Peach provides its dependents. First, there is financial
assistance focusing on a single message, “stay in school.” The second is a
unique camp experience where American and more privileged Chinese families
come to give open ended lessons to the dependents for seven days every year.
The later is a highly unique exchange of perspectives leading to fun,
excitement, camaraderie, competition, and education. Great experience,A must try.
Haifang Yun: Moving experience, I wish I had more
time with.
Krystal
Mach: Peach has helped
me open up and take risks, on my first day, I was nervous that I wouldn’t get
my students to like me, and that I would be a bad teacher. After this long
week, I learned to push myself and make new friends.
Marina
Yao: Teaching at Peach
is a meaningful program that our family has experienced. It is a learning
progress for both the teachers and the students, and through the camp, we
establish long lasting bonds.
Canice Wu: Peach has a wonderful program. It has
been a rewarding experience. My and my children’s perspectives are changed
forever. Thank you Peach.
George
Wang: This week has
been a great learning experience for me and for the students. They need
confidence and the camp delivers.
Chin
Wang: I remember some
great moment of summer camps, I have attended over 40 years ago, such as
parachute dumping that have pushed my limits. I believe the Peach summer camp
experience will have profound impaction the Peach kids' life.
Rachel
Yao: Peach is a life
changing experience for both teachers and students. I am very gratitude to
have had this opportunity to instill braving, confidence, and happiness in my
students.
Adrian
Yao: Peach is rarely
thought of a summer camp among us, but more of an opportunity to reach out
and help kids who actually need it.
Michelle
& William Tai: These
children are clearly used being overlooked. When they at school in the large
classes at home where their opinions do not matter, they blossom at Peach
with all the individual attention in the small class sighs and discussion of
self in EQ. In one week these children can discover themselves.
Ivy
Chang: What a heart
fulfilling experience, no word can express it, you have to come and enjoy by
yourself.
Sing-I
Chou: Being a volunteer
at the Peach Foundation's Summer Camp has been the most rewarding and
inspiring experience for my family. Join us and be part of the Peach family
for a life changing experience.
Lin
Sun Hoffman: The
program does not just help local students, more importantly, it is a very
rewarding experience, I also learned a lot from my
students of their farm life.
Angela
Yang: Vacationing and
traveling are very different in nature. Every year I make time to travel
doing volunteer work. It is a valuable opportunity to rediscover myself and
count my blessings.
Ann
Wang: Peach Summer Camp
is an opportunity to elevate oneself in human kindness. I wish for more
people to join us in service.
Frank
Chin: Giving is
receiving.
Jonathan
Lu: Through the
experience of Peach Summer Camp, I have a deeper understanding of the phrase,
“giving is better than receiving.”
Robin
Lo: In addition to
taking care of yourselves and your own family, share your love with the Peach
students. These children come from extreme poverty and long for some love and
care.
Jane
Yang: All great
journeys start from a single step. Please join Peach Summer Camps, where we
learn with the students and create happy memories. We emphasize the
importance of education regardless of the challenges in life. Most
importantly, we guide these students to face life with positive attitude.
William
Qin: The world will be
a better place when we offer more love, care, understanding, and compassion
to these children.
Aline Chen: Our love will change the lives of
these children, who were abandoned by society.
Jeff
Jeng: The Peach Summer Camp is an experience of soul and humanity
