Dear Uncle Wu,

I am Li Zhize, a child supported by your love. Thank you for helping me throughout these years. I have successfully completed my high school education; and now I am going to college! Sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I am a child from a single parent family. My parents divorced when I was little. While my mother left and my father went away to work, I lived with my grandparents. My father seldomly come home and I am guess he was not doing too well. At most, he may return once a year or in every few years. He rarely made contact with the family.

I have an uncle. He got married and started living independently. He needs to raise his children and couldn't take care of me. The only people I could rely on were my grandparents. My grandparents were older and their health was deteriorating. Because my grandparents' savings were almost used up to pay for my schooling, I decided not to go to high school after my middle school graduation. But eventually I went to high school with their persuasion and support.

During my freshman year, my attendance was often intermittent. Because there was no one in the family, I had to take time off to take care of my sick grandfather or to harvest millet and corn before the hard-grown food were damaged. At that time, the cost of living was at least 350 Yuan a month and grandparents had to worry about the money every month.

I hated God for giving me such a fate. I hated my mother for leaving me behind. I hated my father for showing so little care for me. I envied other students who can study with peace of mind. I cried often in the middle of the night. I was mentally prepared for possible dropping out at any time. Fortunately, just when I was in deep helpless state, the school notified me that I am qualified for PEACH Foundation. It was really a gift from heaven and I was extremely happy! I immediately told this to my grandparents, and at the time they only said "Hold on to this Chance". I could clearly see the tears in their eyes. Since then, PEACH Foundation has been subsidizing me 800 Yuan for each semester. This money is enough to improve my life. PEACH wrote me letter of encouragement to support and advise me not to give up my study. PEACH also wrote "Don't worry about the money issues we are your backing!” Every word warms my heart.

At the end of the high school first semester, I attended the PEACH summer camp and found out the organization is a big warm family. There are many children like me. We study together, play games together, and sleep together. I feel extremely happy and appreciate the warmth of PEACH family. After attending the summer camp, I no longer worry about my schooling and I have the confidence whenever I think of PEACH family.

Dear Uncle Wu, you are my greatest benefactor. You helped me when I was troubled, confused, and helpless. You gave me directions, love and courage. I have a lot of thanks in my heart, but I don’t know how to express it. I can only say to you in most sincerity "Thank you!" In the future, I want to be like you to help others in order to pass on this love.
